You can Twitter from your PC, but the real power of Twitter comes when you’re mobile. Once you’ve registered your mobile phone with Twitter you can SMS quick posts and updates to keep your friends, family and other followers apprised of what you’re up to. You can also receive SMS updates from people you follow. In this episode we’ll help you setup your mobile phone with Twitter.
here is simple steps to get twitter on your mobile
1) To setup your mobile phone for use with Twitter from your personal homepage click the settings link at the top right corner.
2) When you are in the settings menu click the Devices tab.
3) To register your mobile phone, input your mobile phone number preceded by the + sign. Check the box to allow Twitter to send messages to your phone.
4) Once you receive the text message, you need to send the verification code you received via text message to 40404 (this number will vary from location to location so check the site before you send)
5) You are now set up to receive Twitter notifications on your cell phone.
6) To stop Twitter from sending text messages to your phone, text the word “off” to 40404. You can also turn off Twitter to mobile on the Twitter web site.
7) You can choose to “sleep” Twitter during certain hours; once set, you won’t receive mobile Twitter messages during these hours.
